Subtle smokey eye

Today I am wearing a smokey eye from my Urban Decay Naked Pallet (1). I followed a photo of Kylie Jenner with a goldy brown smokey look with a cat eye flick, although I used a few darker colours on the outer corner and along the lash line. Also, I went to elf recently and bought an eyebrow kit- which comes with a wax and a powder, so I used the wax too but with my benefit eyeshadow powder instead because I'm trying to use it up but they're similar colours. For my mascara, I used the Rimmel scandal eyes mascara which I am actually not that fond of because I find it too thick and gloopy (if that is even a word). I only like this mascara when I scrape the excess off the wand. But I think I archived quite a smokey effect with the products I used.

Visit to NYC

While I was in New York, I visited a shop called Sephora which is a cosmetic shop as you may know. It is more for high end makeup and is quite expensive, but if you wanted to buy the products they sell in Britain they would probably work out to be more expensive in pounds than dollars. The shop was very attractive from the outside but as soon as I walked in I was most probably dazed by the products inside. My favourite type of shopping!

I was after a specific product by Nars, I had been saving up for a blush for a while and everytime I went into Debenhams I would always look around for them. I had read reviews about them and wanted to find out for myself. People had raved about Nars' 'Orgasm' for ages but when I went into the shop I found that it was way too shimmery for me so I tried to find a 'quieter' shade, and so I found 'Day Dream' which was pinker and suited my skintone nicely, so I bought it. I think it was 26$.

While in Sephora I also bought a set of 5 small eyeshadow brushes that came in a small black tube that said Sephora on it and so was also a souvenir that would remind me of the shop. I would definitely recommend going to Sephora if you're visiting America, it has other brands too like Benefit, Too Faced and Buxom and loads of others too, including Sephora's own products. But I definitely recommend the Nars 'Day Dream' blush.
