favourite summer holiday outfits♡

Feels as if I haven't done a blog post in years haha I'm still here, just been enjoying Summer a little too much. I went on holiday to a few beautiful little places in Northern Spain.
I'm not sure what's happening here but thought it looked pretty cool.

My cousin was kind enough to take these few pictures as I thought it would be a nice idea to post about a few of my favourite outfits that I took on holiday with me. I wore this out for lunch with the family in Noja which was just a little walk away (not too painful in the heels haha)

Top- Primark
Skirt- H&M (basic section which is there all year round for about £3.99)
Shoes- New Look £27.99

I wore this outfit in the camp and out for some ice cream and I'm so in love with these crochet shorts but I would be lying if I said they were cheap.

Top- New Look
Shorts- Topshop £40.00

To dress up that top I paired it with a short white skort which was also from topshop and also notas cheap as chips..£32. But still cute.
This was probably my favourite outfit of my entire 3 week holiday. I wore it out to dinner one afternoon in Isla.

Most of my holiday I was on the beach and by the pool so I didn't really have many special outfits as I was in swimwear the majority of my holiday.

Hope you enjoyed this little random post guys! I will be publishing more often from now on, I'm really enjoying writing my blog:)

My most used makeup brushes♡

I thought I'd do a post on the makeup brushes I've been using the most for a while. I've bought these over a long period of time and not in one shopping trip. Some of them are a bit dirty because I used them this morning so excuse that haha.

Left- Expert Face brush
Right- Stippling brush

I've been using these Real Techniques foundation brushes by Sam and Nic from (Pixiwoo on YouTube) for absolutely ages and I find that they blend my foundation in seamlessly and they're the best foundation brushes I've found personally. I think they work really well on my skin. I really recommend them to you:)

Left- duo-fiber face brush
Middle- duo-fiber contour brush
Right- duo-fiber eye brush

These are also Real Techniques brushes. They're from the duo-fiber limited edition collection. I use the face brush for a light dusting of powder on my t-zone just to control the oil in my skin. I obviously use the contour brush to contour my cheeks and forehead, and the eye brush for crease definition. I got these in a pack as a Christmas present from my parents. My favourite brush from this set is the contour brush and I love using it with my Mac Harmony contour that I've mentioned in another post.

These are the 217 brushes from Mac and although being a steep £19 each (eeek, I know) they are 100% worth it. The reason I bought 2 of them is so that I can use one to put on the product and then the other to blend it and give a gradient effect.

This is an Ecotools powder brush that I bought in duty free about 2 years ago. I use it to set my foundation and for an all over powder when I want a more matte finish.

I had this brush from a Ted Baker set and I use it to bronze or to soften my contour if there are any harsh lines. I'm not sure how much it was because again it was a present and also in a set with other products, but I find it really good to soften my contour. The only thing is that the bristles can be a little bit scratchy at times.

This is probably the cutest brush you'll see. My parents bought it for me from Paris and if I remember correctly it was a bit pricey, I think 26 euros so yeah, but it's such a good blush brush and is really soft on my skin.

Hope you liked this post:)
Enjoy your day!

Fake tan review♡

I decided it was time I stopped being a snowman because it's summer, finally. Usually, I'm really not fond of my legs, and it makes me even more self conscious when I have the ability to blend into the white walls:) So, I've been trying out a few fake tans in the hope to hide the fact I'm practically a ghost underneath.

Firstly, the Garnier summerbody fake tan. I used this fake tan religiously last year and I swore by it. I tried it again not so long ago and forgot how good it was. My favourite thing about it is that it has a really nice smell. It doesn't seem to be streaky, but I did have a sort of funny patch around my ankles, so I'd be careful around there haha.

Johnson's Holiday Skin is one that I probably will not be repurchasing mainly because of the smell. To me, if a fake tan has an off-putting smell I can guarantee I won't want to use it again. It did an okay job tanning wise, and was really moisturising, but it's probably my least favourite out of the ones I have tried.

Santa Monica are self tanning wipes instead of a lotion or spray. These are actually really good for your face and left my face looking glowy and with a healthy looking tan. I wouldn't recomment these for an all over body tan because it might be a bit difficult to do, but for the face I thought it was pretty quick and easy.

Lastly, the Dove Summer Glow is my favourite one from the ones I have been using recently. I just find it gives me healthy glow while looking natural at the same time. The smell isn't offensive and I will definitely be repurchasing this one very soon for sure. The only thing is it takes quite a long time to dry, so DON'T ruin it by sitting down.

Oh and I also wanted to mention the Garnier Ambre Solaire fake tan which is a sort of body mist. This is really effecive on my face. I really love the apricot extract because it smells amazing and makes me want to eat it (but don't do that..). The reason that I don't have a photo of it is because I've just ran out and desperately need to buy some more. I think it's around the £7 mark so not too bad.

Hope this gives you an idea of which ones could work best for you:)
Have a lovely evening!

June favourites♡

As it is now July, I just wanted to post about all of the things I have been loving recently throughout June.

The first thing I wanted to include in my favourites is something that most of you will probably be loving too!                                Ed Sheeran's new album - X

I'm not sure if you've heard it, but his voice just sounds like an angel and who doesn't love angels?! Haha, but seriously now.
If I had to pick a few favourite tracks, which is almost impossible, I'd probably say.
Last year I started reading, The Fault In Our Stars, and didn't finish it because I got caught up in my GCSE's and had to read the books I was studying. So just before the film was released, I started from scratch and read it again. I wanted to include it in my June favourites because it's the only book I've ever read that had the ability to leave me feeling upset yet warm inside, which is strange.

I'm not going to explain the story but I am going to say that it is really sad and even if you don't fancy the sound of it, just read it and see. Well done John Green.

I don't have very many beauty faves from June, only because I've mentioned them in previous posts and I have been having a lot of no makeup days. But one thing I've been using is a face cream from N07 called 'Beautiful Skin' (not sure 'bout that). Basically, I have been breaking out badly, so I've been trying not to wear as much makeup as I usually would, and using a face cream daily to help the situation.
It says it's aimed at normal/oily skin, and I have quite dry skin but I don't see any issues with it. It's also SPF 15 which is always handy.

For a tv favourite, I'm going to have to say Big Rich Atlanta. If you don't like trashy tv then I wouldn't even bother! It's part of daytime tv on E!

The Style Network "Big Rich Atlanta" Series | Promotewho- The Mag ...

You can probably tell by the title, that it's a load of rubbish but I love it and I'm addicted.

I wanted to include a favourite person and who other than Gabby, also known as velvetg0st. Gabby is a beauty blogger and youtuber. Her videos just make me laugh so much and she has persuaded me to buy a few things from her hauls. If you're not subscibed then her links are below.

I couldn't not put this in my favourites, it's a bit of a random one.
Mango. Just mango. I don't have much to say about it, I just can't get enough. I could eat one a day.

The last thing in my June favourites is a shop on Etsy called MooingAtOwls  I got the 2 necklaces in the photo above from there and I think they were about £3.50 so REALLY good value for money. Also, if you're wondering what's on my lips it's a lip liner from Mac, and it is apparently the one Kylie Jenner uses and I'm really loving it right now.

Hope you have a lovely day:)

My lipstick collection!

Over the years I have seemed to collect a few (too many) lipsticks. I'm not too sure why but ever since I was little I have always just gravitated towards lip products, taking after my Nan haha! I've always thought that a nice lipstick can completely change your makeup.

As you can probably see, and as I also said in my Mac product review post, I literally am a lipstick hoarder. I'm not going to write about every single one because that could take days, so I think I'll choose a few of my favourites, and the ones I wear most often.

~From left to right~ Russian Red, Lady Danger, Up the Amp, Mac Red, Vegas Volt.

Russian Red

Russian Red is probably the most perfect red, and the one I wear most often. It's a sort of Marilyn Monroe red, and although it's matte it's not that drying. It's running out and this is one that I will definitely be re-purchasing sometime soon.

Lady Danger

Lady Danger (which I have now lost:( but will be buying it again fear not haha) is also a matte. It's more orangy than Russian Red, and has blue undertones which means that it makes your teeth look whiter.

Up the Amp

This lilac purple is an amplified lipstick and is so pigmented but creamy at the same time. It has a sort of glossy finish which I find flattering. I actually bought this one in the New York Mac store.

Mac Red

I got this as a Christmas present from a friend and I really love it, it's very festive and I think it would suit all skin types, and it's a satin finish.

Dior - Ange Bleu 013

I also got this as a Christmas present (my family know me so well), and is a reddish pink wish a glossy finish and is quite moisturising. I think this was a bit pricey being dior, but so worth it.

Chanel - Coco Rouge 21 Rivoli
This is a vampy red shade and is maybe similar to 'Diva' from Mac
I got it from the duty free on the way home from New York to use up the rest of my dollars and so it wasn't really a problem that it was expensive.

Topshop - Brighton Rock

Topshop - Desert

N07 - Sheer Temptation in 'Showy'

Revlon - Rare Apricot

Estee Lauder - Perfect Cherry

 Tanya Burr lipglosses
'Picnic in the Park' (pink)
'Let's Travel the World' (red)

I recommend these lipglosses because they're not at all sticky which in my opinion is the most annoying thing about some lipglosses, but these are so pigmented and moisturising too. They look nice with a lipstick underneath them, but I rather them on their own. They're inespensive and I cannot express enough how happy I am for Tanya and I think you should buy these.

Chanel - Petit Peche

This is a nudey pink lipgloss with little flecks of glitter in it, again being Chanel, it was £21, but it was one of thie things I purchased with the last bit of my birthday money, and I really like it for a subtle lip.

 Hope you enjoyed this post:)

THE best chocolate brownies.

I have THE best recipe for amazing chocolate brownies time after time, and I would only decide to share it if I was confident enough that it was fool proof.

Ingredients- (makes around about 9 -16 squares, depends how big you cut them)
  •  100g plain chocolate
  •  2 large eggs/ 3 if they're small
  •  280g caster sugar
  •  125g softened butter
  •  half a tsp vanilla or almond essence, depends on which you like best
  •  50g self-raising flour
  •  25g plain flour
  •  2 and a half heaped tbsp of cocoa powder

Method:
1. Heat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
2. Cut out some grease proof paper to line your tin and grease with butter or oil.
3. Break the eggs into a jug or a small bowl and beat.
4. Put the sugar, butter and vanilla/almond essence into a seperate large mixing bowl.
5. Whisk the mixture, while adding the eggs carefully, a little at a time, to avoid seperation in the mixture.
6. Sift the self-raising flour, plain flour and cocoa powder into the large mixing bowl and then fold it in using a wooden spoon.
7. Heat water in a pan and place the chocolate in a glass bowl above the pan to melt. Making sure the boiling water does not touch the bottom of the glass bowl, or the chocolate will burn.
8. After the chocolate has melted, add it into the mixture and stir it all in.
9. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for about 35-40 minutes, keeping a close eye on them.
10. After you take them out, leave to cool. Then cut into squares, and perhaps give them a light dusting of icing sugar if you fancy.

Also...
If you wanted to make a chocolate frosting to go on top of the brownies, all you need to do is soften 25g of unsalted butter in a bowl and then add in 3 tbsp of sifted cocoa powder.
Gradually stir in 4 tbsp of boiling water until the mixture is smooth. Then stir in 225g of sifted icing sugar.

The rest is history, they won't last long and you'll be coming back for more!
Good luck! Have a lovely day!:)

New Mac products review!

Recently, I went out and bought Mac's blush in the colour 'Harmony' after watching a few makeup tutorials using it on YouTube. It's a matte browny shade without any shimmer or sparkle, which I appreciate haha. At first I thought it would be way too dark to be a blusher but I saw people were using it as more of a contour, and after using it for the first time I was literally hooked, I want to use it everyday now!

I also got the paint pot in 'Painterly' and I kid you not it has completely changed my whole eyeshadow situation haha! I usually use it everyday all over my eye lid, and if I was going to use eyeshadow too it makes it stay on for much longer. So, it primes your lids as well as giving a nudey base colour and I really love it!
Also, if you know me, you'd know that I'm such a lipstick hoarder that it's hard to go into Mac without adding to my collection. I had been wanting a creamy coral shade for summer for quite a while and I had been eyeing up a few colours in Mac, and I spotted one called Vegas Volt and instantly thought 'I NEED IT' haha.

I think the colour would be really flattering on most skintones, it's an amplified lipstick and the consistency is really creamy. The only thing I would say is although it is not matte, it can be quite drying, and so I would either put a lip balm on underneath, or maybe exfoliate before (I suggest a lip scrub from Lush, because they smell and taste amazing) but other than that I love it! I recommend all of these products, and although Mac can be a bit pricey they're all totally worth it in my opinion!
